ANSWER

The maximum recommended back pressure for the Ultrahydrogel 1000 column (WAT011535) is less than 285 psi (19.5 bar).

We provide a max flow rate of 1 mL/min. The pressure drop for the column is important as it might be a sign of a void in a columns. Therefore, you must change flow rates slowly. The total pressure is irrelevant. As long as you do not exceed 1mL/min, you should not have any problems. Waters recommends a typical flow rate that des not exceed 600 uL/min. The pressure depends on many variables that have nothing to do with the column. If the customer stays within the flow rate guidelines, they will not experience issues.
