Does waters have a column to separate peptide enantiomers or peptide diastereomers? - WKB51804

Article number: 51804

ENVIRONMENT

  • Peptide separation technology
  • Peptide enantiomers

ANSWER

Potentially; see "Additional Information".

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Separation of enantiomeric peptides or peptide diastereomers is typically performed on a chiral LC column, which Waters does not sell.

Waters sells chiral UPC2 (Ultra Performance Convergence Chromatography) columns that are based on supercritical fluid chromatography.

Reverse-phase columns may work for peptide enantiomer or diastereomer separations in some cases, but this would need to be determined on a peptide by peptide basis, experimentally.
