Flush the column with 50 column volumes of 60:40 acetonitrile/water with your buffer to partition water on the surface.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Amide comes shipped in 100% acetonitrile and must be exposed to enough water prior to equilibration, for best attraction of polar compounds to the surface.
