Note: The XP (eXtended Performance) hardware for VanGuard cartridges 186007772 and 186007774 has Parker style end nuts that require a shorter length of tubing from the ferrule to the tip of the tubing. If you have seated stainless steel tubing and compression screws and ferrules into a traditional Waters HPLC column, such as 186003952 or 186003953, the ferrule will have seated in order to make the tubing from the ferrule to the tip of tubing to a Waters hardware ferrule depth, which is longer than Parker style. Because this depth is too long when connecting to XP hardware (Parker style) and will need to be replaced if connecting stainless steel tubing into the XP hardware. If you are using PEEK finger-tight fittings or other fittings that have a ferrule that does not permanently seat, you will be OK.
