The Teflon sleeve tube can be a bit tight, which is normal. The suggestion is to use a bit of heat, which should make it easier to remove the piece.

Wrapping the fused silica line around a few fingers can allow you to gently pull and slightly rotate the Teflon tube. You must be careful not to make the radius too tight if the fused silica capillary line is wrapped around a few fingers, because this will damage the pigtail/extension tubing.
