ANSWER

Torus DEA columns are packed for use in supercrtitical fluid chromatography (SFC) separations and are packed with 1.7-µm BEH particles with diethylamine-bonded ligands.

Anionic Polar Pesticide columns are packed and QC tested for use in liquid chromatography (LC) separations and are packed with 5-µm BEH particles with diethylamine-bonded ligands.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Waters first provided guidance for use of its existing Torus DEA SFC columns for anionic polar pesticide applications for LC. However, because they are SFC columns, they were not specifically manufactured, QC tested, or packed for LC separations.

Soon after, Waters specifically manufactured, QC-tested, and packed columns for LC separation of anionic polar pesticides using a BEH particle with DEA ligands. This new column is called the Anionic Polar Pesticide column and is the recommended column for this application on UPLC, UHPLC, or HPLC. The Anionic Polar Pesticide Column is available as follows:
