ANSWER
An eCord is a memory chip embedded in a fob that is attached to many modern Waters sub-2-µm columns in addition to some 2.5-µm and 2.7-µm columns.
This eCord fob can be connected to ACQUITY UPLC, ACQUITY UPC2, and ACQUITY APC systems in order to store certain column tracking parameters.
