Prepare the lock mass solutions for Vion IMS QTof.

PROCEDURE

The lock mass solution is leucine enkephalin (LeuEnk), prepared at a concentration (between 50 pg/μL and 100 pg/μL) suitable for both the system and subsequent analysis.

• Lock Mass solution 1 (LeuEnk at 50 pg/μL)
  1. Prepare a stock 1 mg/mL (μg/μL) solution of LeuEnk solution in water. Do not use organic solvent, because the leucine enkephalin will not dissolve.
  2. Add 25 μL of the LeuEnk stock solution to 500 mL of 50:50 water/acetonitrile + 0.1% formic acid.

• Lock Mass solution 2 (LeuEnk at 100 pg/μL)
  1. Prepare a stock 1 mg/mL (μg/μL) solution of LeuEnk solution in water. Do not use organic solvent, because the leucine enkephalin will not dissolve.
  2. Add 50 μL of the LeuEnk stock solution to 500 mL of 50:50 water/acetonitrile + 0.1% formic acid.
