How can I be sure the Kairos amino acid method derivatization has gone to completion? - WKB264782

Article number: 264782

ENVIRONMENT

  • Kairos
  • Amino acid analysis (AAA)
  • AccQ•Tag Ultra 3X kit
  • Derivatization
  • LC-MS method
  • Clinical research

ANSWER

You must create your own LC-MS diagnostic checks based on your specific sample matrices, with the understanding that if you stay within the linear concentration range of the QCs and internal standard, the amount of derivatization reagent is sufficient to drive the reaction to completion on day 1.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The reconstituted reagent can be stored in a desiccator for up to five days. The response of ASP, GLU, ALA, LYS, and TYR should be watched for comparison to day 1 derivatization results, in order to tell if the derivatization quality is not as good.
