What are the storage and stability instructions for the glutamine standard used for AccQ•Tag-derivatized amino acid cell culture analysis? - WKB123812
ENVIRONMENT
- Glutamine standard
- AccQ•Tag
- Amino acid analysis (AAA)
ANSWER
The cell culture standard package should be placed in a freezer at -10 to -25 °C upon arrival. The standard should not be used past the expiration date on the packaging and the Certificate of Analysis.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Once the glutamine is reconstituted with the stock solution, it must be aliquoted into separate vials and frozen [it is stable when reconstituted and stored in a freezer for up to 15 days].
When taking a vial out of the freezer, the standards should not be warmed in the hand; allow them to come up to room temperature.
When used for quantification purposes, the glutamine-containing standard solution should be derivatized on the day of the analysis, and an internal standard should be included; glutamine will degrade faster than other amino acids in aqueous environments.
