Will intact RapiGest SF adsorb to my LC system, reverse-phase column, or HILIC column? - WKB123445
Article number: 123445
ENVIRONMENT
- Solubilization factor (SF)
- RapiGest SF
ANSWER
Because formic acid or TFA mobile phases are typically used for peptide (and protein) analysis under Reverse-Phase LC/MS methods, the mobile phase is acidic enough to degrade RapiGest SF residue. In addition, the organic concentration is also sufficient to remove degradation byproducts from the system and/or column.
RapiGest SF will elute in the void volume on HILIC columns, because HILIC methods begin in a high percent organic.
