ANSWER

The Hydroxylysine standard commonly used for the cell culture separation contains both L and D forms. In nature, the L form is the norm.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Typically, L and D forms are not separated under reverse-phase conditions.

However, in this method, L and D isomers of hydroxylysine are separated.

  • m/z ratios show the presence of both mono-derivatized and di-derivatized forms within the two peaks.
