SYMPTOMS
- Using Outlook 2003 or later to email using MassLynx (email on Error Shutdown) or OpenLynx (Results or QC failure reports), an error message appears, and the emails are not sent:

- Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, Outlook 2002, Outlook 2007
CAUSE
Outlook introduced a security feature to prevent viruses and malware using the email system without permission
FIX or WORKAROUND
- In some versions of the software, uncheck the Security setting "warn me when other applications try to send emails as me" (Local IT will probably be required).
- Where the above option is not available, configure and use Third Party Software to automatically click the "allow" or "yes" button.
